We look beyond the numbers
Beyond Your Numbers grew from a simple idea. Business owners need more from their financial information than reports at the end of the year.
Your figures can tell you whether your prices stack up, which jobs make money, when cash may get tight, and whether the business can afford its next move. They can also point to wider questions about your people, leadership, capacity, systems, and the amount of work sitting on your shoulders.
Our advisory-first approach brings the information and the conversation together. First, we help you understand what is happening. Then we help you decide what deserves attention, act on the priorities and keep improving as the business changes.
Depending on what you need, that support can include business coaching and advisory, bookkeeping, accounting, management reporting or senior financial guidance.
We work from Christchurch with tradies, construction businesses, professional services firms, and other established small and medium sized businesses throughout New Zealand.
OUR FOUNDER
Meet Leah Keown
Leah has spent more than 20 years working across management accounting, finance, and business advisory. She has a knack for getting to the heart of an issue, making the numbers easy to understand, and helping owners see a way forward.
Her approach is practical and personal. She will ask the questions that need asking, celebrate the progress you make, and give you an honest nudge when an agreed action starts slipping down the list.
Coaching has long been part of Leah’s life for more than 30 years through netball. She coaches and mentors netball players and coaches, with training through Netball New Zealand and Netball Mainland. She also holds performance coaching certifications and has also completed the Crusaders Leadership Programme.
Helping people grow in confidence and perform at their best matters to her, whether she is on the court or around a meeting table.

Haydn Johnson Accountant
Haydn brings accounting knowledge, first-hand business experience, and plenty of patience to the team. As a former business owner, he understands the pressure of keeping everything moving. He explains financial information clearly and makes it easy to ask questions.
Haydn lives in Nelson Tasman and enjoys travelling, biking, and dancing when he is away from the numbers.
